John Lewis has been gearing up for Black Friday at it's distribution centre as the retail giant prepares for the start of the festive shopping frenzy.
Behind the scenes photos of the high street department store's enormous warehouse outside Milton Keynes show workers getting ready for the busiest shopping day of the year which will commence on November 23.
The retailer has recruited an additional 3,000 temporary staff across it's business to ensure it can offer the usual level of service during the flash sales.
On Black Friday last year John Lewis made £214.3million and sold as many as 705 products per minute online.
And while some retailers have released their deals early, the department shop has kept details of their cut price items under wraps which can be snapped up online or in store on the day.
The store's Never Knowingly Undersold policy, which is the company's commitment to match their competitors, means that rival prices will be checked around the clock.
John Lewis released their Christmas advert this week, featuring Elton John in a mini-biopic, set to his 1970 hit Your Song, ending with a four-year-old Elton unwrapping his first piano on Christmas Day in 1951.
