The British Army showcased its strength by blowing up Russian tanks in a breathtaking display of power, in mock combat situations.
Huge explosions scorched the sky a burnt orange, and armoured vehicles raced around a mock town on the Salisbury Plain, in Wiltshire, at this year's Army Combat Power Demonstration 19.
The event, which occurs annually, is designed to showcase the capability of the army, its soldiers and their use of advanced technology.
This year, the demonstrations, which take place over a number of days, were based around A Company, 1st Battalion, The Royal Welsh equipped with an attached troop of Challenger 2 tanks from B Squadron, The King's Royal Hussars and an Armoured Engineer Troop from 26 Engineer Regiment.
Attendees were able to see Apache helicopters in action, a number of armoured vehicles and see the army carried out an attack against an enemy occupied area, and a simulation of dragging a wounded soldier to safety.
There a number of interactive stands at the event as well, with weapons such as the Multi Launch Rocket System (MLRS), an armoured, self-propelled rocket system on display.
