Former CIA Agent Valerie Plame is running for Congress in an ultra liberal Democrat district in New Mexico. In her campaign she portrays herself as a victim of government abuse while fabricating her history to support her allegations.
Former CIA Agent Valerie Plame is running for Congress and using her personal history as the reason she is running for office. In her campaign ad she claims that Scooter Libby outed her as a CIA agent. But even according to the ultra-liberal Washington Post, this is not true.
In response to WaPo’s claims that Plame is not honest about her past, Plame shares this –
On September 10, Washington Post Fact Checker Glenn Kessler published an article on the recently released Valerie Plame campaign video, taking exception to the line “Then Dick Cheney’s chief of staff took revenge against my husband and leaked my identity.” Kessler gave this a “3 Pinocchios” – and declared that Scooter Libby did not leak Ms. Plame’s covert CIA identity. The Plame campaign takes issue with Kessler’s conclusion. There is no question that Scooter Libby was part of a group of Bush White House senior advisers who sought revenge for Ambassador Joe Wilson’s 2003 New York Times Op-Ed asserting that the intelligence used to invade Iraq was “cherry picked” and an imminent Iraqi nuclear threat was, in fact, false. The White House conspirators retaliated against Ambassador Wilson by compromising the CIA covert status of his wife, Valerie Plame – putting her and others at great risk. They pushed Ms. Plame’s name and their false narrative to at least half a dozen Washington, DC reporters. The one who took the bait and published her name in his syndicated column was Robert Novak.
Scooter Libby was eventually convicted by Special Counsel Patrick Fitzgerald, but he was more recently pardoned by President Trump. James Comey was involved in Libby’s case and Comey recently claimed Fitzgerald was his attorney in skirting around the classified leaks Comey made to the press after the 2016 Presidential election.
Plame was recently on the far left show Hardball where she sticks up for the CIA whistleblower and claims that the whistleblower, like herself is a victim –
What nonsense. This person should never again work for our government.
