Leading Democrats including presidential candidates Bernie Sanders and Mike Bloomberg used bogus media reports to falsely accuse President Trump of calling the coronavirus a hoax, thereby proving Trump’s point that the Democrats are politicizing the coronavirus against him.
Bloomberg accused Trump of “cowardice” and used a shortened clip of Trump’s remarks. Other Democrats keyed off a false Politico article.

Trump remarks at a rally in North Charleston, South Carolina that were falsely reported by the media and Democrats are here below transcribed by TGP:
Now the Democrats are politicizing the coronavirus. You know that, right? Coronavirus. They’re politicizing it. We did one of the great jobs, you see. ‘How’s President Trump doing?’ ‘Oh, not good, not good.’ (Laughter) They have no clue, they don’t have any clue. They can’t even count their votes in Iowa! (Laughter) .They can’t even count. No, they can’t. They can’t count their votes! One of my people came up to me and said “Mr. President they tried to beat you on Russia, Russia, Russia. That didn’t work out too well, they couldn’t do it. They tried the impeachment hoax–that was on a perfect conversation. They tried anything. They tried it over and over. They’ve been doing it since you got in. It’s all turning. They lost, it’s all turning. Think of it, think of it. And this is their new hoax.”But you know, we did something that’s been pretty amazing. We have fifteen people in this massive country. And because of the fact that we went early, we went early, we coulda had a lot more than that. We’re doing great. Our country is doing so great. We are so unified. We are so unified. (Loud cheers.)
What the Democrats said:
Bloomberg, “Here it is, folks. With a pandemic at our doorstep and the country looking to its president for leadership, Trump decides to call the coronavirus… a “hoax.” This is what cowardice looks like.”Here it is, folks. Rep. Ted Lieu (D-CA), “Dear @realDonaldTrump: The 63 Americans with #coronavirus and the families of the over 2,800 dead globally because of coronavirus would disagree with you that it’s a “new hoax.” THIS IS NOT ABOUT YOU. IT’S A PUBLIC HEALTH CRISIS. LIVES ARE AT STAKE. LEAD, OR GET OUT OF THE WAY.”
