An American beauty queen now living in Australia has faced court after allegedly whipping her ex-boyfriend with a metal dog chain and breaking his nose.
Nikki Poteet, 34, who has performed as a professional wrestler for Kingdom Wrestling Entertainment, is accused of attacking her former lover inside their Sydney home at Croydon on April 11.
Prosecutors allege the 2011 Miss Virginia USA winner left gashes across the 43-year-old man's back after the attack, news.com reported.

Ms Poteet, whose full name is Brittany Nicole Poteet, moved to Australia in 2014 following a string of controversies after being crowned Miss Virginia USA.
Since arriving in Australia, the glamorous southern belle has started a career as a female pro-wrestler and continued to compete in beauty pageants, claiming the title of Miss Globe Australia in 2019.
She's also garnered an army of admirers on social media with more than 7,500 followers on Instagram.
Ms Poteet found herself in hot water following the 2011 Miss USA pageant when she posed in a photo on Facebook with the caption 'Miss Alcoholic USA'.

She was later stripped of her Miss Virginia crown as a result of the incident.
It was not the first time Ms Poteet made headlines for all the wrong reasons.
Her gay roommate Derek Powell, in 2011, accused her of making homophobic slurs.
But she denied the allegations, and was quoted in the news site Think Progress saying: 'The guy that's in my pageant office is gay and he's my best friend in the world, I talk to him every day.'
Ms Poteet claims to have a bachelor of Biomedical Engineering and a masters of Nuclear Engineering.

Her grandparents are esteemed academics in the US state of Virginia.
Ms Poteet’s grandfather was the dean of faculties at one of America’s oldest universities - the Hampden-Sydney College.
Her grandmother is a legacy alumni of the Virginia Commonwealth University, where her uncle is also a former dean of medicine.
Ms Poteet is facing two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm when the case continues before the Burwood Local Court in September.
She is currently living with her new partner, Nathan Peckham, who is a popular Indigenous artist in the regional NSW community of Dubbo.
