A 12-year-old boy was sexually assaulted and then shot on a street in Miami in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The child was walking in the Brownsville area of the city at around 2am when he was suddenly forced into a black car.
The suspect who was driving the vehicle only went a short distance before sexually assaulting the boy, shooting him and driving away, according to the Miami-Dade Police Department.

Soon afterwards, the youngster was found by a man who was riding his bicycle near to the spot where the boy was dumped.
A man who was riding on a bike near the scene of the crime told a local news station that he pulled over to help the boy after he heard the child screaming.
'He was screaming. "Help someone, help me, please,"' said the man, called Johnny to Local 10.
'I bring him to the store so they can call the police for him. He was conscious, then he fell on the sidewalk and said he had been shot.'

Surveillance footage shows the boy collapsing, bleeding from a head wound while a person standing next to him calls 911. Another woman came by with a towel and some water

A second passerby also stopped to help him water and a towel.
Police and paramedics soon arrived on the scene together with an ambulance to take the child to hospital who was in critical condition.
Officials have not named the boy, but are searching for a tall man with long, curly hair and a black four-door sedan. They say the need the public’s help in finding the suspect.
