Shocking video shows a 78-year-old writhing in pain on the ground after he'd allegedly been shot by an Idaho sheriff's deputy with a stun gun when the elderly man was questioned for his role in an alleged road rage incident.
The deputy who arrested the man now is suspended and is under investigation; he hasn't been identified. The man's family denies he was involved in road rage. The 78 year old is pictured on social media wearing identification as a Mormon missionary.
'This whole thing is being looked at very closely,' Gooding County Sheriff Shaun Gough told the Times-News on Tuesday. He didn't respond to a request for further detail from DailyMail.com.
The incident happened on Thursday afternoon, when a truck driver reported to an Idaho public safety dispatcher that there was a road rage incident in Gooding County. The driver claimed there could have been a gun involved.
Deputies responded to the home of 78-year-old John Hall, who the truck driver apparently said had been involved in the incident. It was there that one allegedly used a Taser on Hall - before the video begins.
John Hall, 78, appeared to be the subject of a brutal takedown by an Idaho sheriff's deputy
The deputy, who has not been named, allegedly tased the 78-year-old before taking him down
Anthony Hall's video begins as his father, James, and grandfather, John, are both lying face down on the ground after they were each shot with Tasers, he says.
'You tase an old man?' Anthony asks the deputy. 'What the f*** is wrong with you? You tase an old f*****g man?'
The deputy appears to call for backup to ask for help in handcuffing James, whose age isn't clear, at which point another deputy arrives.
'These people are unarmed, they [the cops] bring a rifle,' Anthony continues.
One of the men on the ground says they are being cuffed for no reason, with one of the deputies responding that they're going to jail.
The deputy says they are being arrested for 'obstructing in the lane,' while the men claim they did nothing wrong.
At the beginning of the video, the deputy can be seen putting cuffs on John Hall, 78
John Hall's son, James Hall (green shirt) was also seen being placed into handcuffs
'He has failing livers,' Anthony says of his grandfather to the deputy. 'He has failing kidneys. You're gonna kill him!' He's an old man, what the f*** is wrong with you?'
'I understand you're trying to do your job, [but] what the f***?' Anthony continues.
As the confrontation continues on, a woman enters the frame to try to diffuse the situation, with Anthony sarcastically remarking that she should be tased for 'obstructing justice.'
At one point, John's wife, Verla, appears to talk to the deputy. John Hall is eventually taken into a police vehicle, but is not formally arrested
James Hall is led away while the woman, believed to be John's wife, Verla, continues to talk to the deputy.
John Hall can then be seen bleeding profusely from his head before a deputy leads him away.
Anthony proceeds to get closer to the deputy, who tells him to step back. 'Why don't you just f*****g shoot me, I'm unarmed,' Anthony says to the deputy.
Anthony goes on to say that the family was getting ready for a camping trip, while Verla points out that her husband is being hurt, which is where the video ends.

The deputy involved in the incident has been suspended pending an outside investigation
Anthony Hall said to MagicValley.com that his grandfather was being tailgated by the truck driver who apparently called in the 'road rage' incident, leading his grandfather to tap on his breaks to fend the truck off.
'He called it in as a road rage,' the sheriff said of the truck driver. 'He said [the driver] tried to run him off the road....It all went downhill from there.'
Anthony said that the truck driver continued to follow John all the way home to Wendell, Idaho, and then called 911.
When deputies arrived, they allegedly confronted both John and Anthony's father, James, who was a passenger in John's car.

They proceeded to shoot both men with a Taser and placed them in handcuffs before they were taken to the ground, which is where the video picks up.
Ultimately, neither John nor James Hall were arrested, with emergency medical personnel examining both men.
Idaho State Police, however, did end up arresting Verla Hall for interfering with the deputies.
She was released on bond later that same night, Sheriff Shaun Gough told the Times-News.

The deputy responsible for the incident has not been identified, but Gough did reveal that he has been suspended.
