Hunter Biden settled his child support dispute with a 32-year-old Arkansas woman he met at a Washington, D.C., strip club and fathered a daughter with, a source close to the president’s son told The New York Post.
Lunden Roberts, the mother of Biden’s 4-year-old daughter Navy, agreed to have her child support payments cut from $20,000 following Biden’s deposition last week, the Post reported. The final terms of the settlement are still being determined, according to Roberts’ lawyer Clint Lancaster, who declined to confirm a report that his client agreed to $5,000 monthly payments.
“The case is sealed, and these are financial terms that should never be disclosed,” Lancaster told the Post.
“It was significant that Lunden was there [at Hunter’s deposition last week],” the lawyer added. “I believe that settlement is important to Hunter Biden [but] we have concerns that Hunter would use [the settlement] as a means to promote some agenda of his… There’s always more that goes on in settlement negotiations than people realize.”
Lancaster warned that details of the settlement leaking to the press could end up with Biden back in court on July 11. The president’s 53-year-old son appeared in an Arkansas court on May 1, seeking to lower his monthly payments to Roberts and saying he already paid the former stripper $750,000 in child support since a court-ordered paternity test proved he was Navy’s father in 2019.
Biden cited a “substantial material change” in his financial situation as the reason he was requesting his monthly payments to Roberts to be reduced even as he flew into Arkansas for his court hearing on his friend’s private jet. Roberts was reportedly placed on Biden’s company’s payroll for nine months during her affair with Hunter.
Biden’s daughter has repeatedly been ignored by the White House and the president’s family despite the test proving Hunter to be the child’s father. The latest lapse happened when the president falsely claimed to have four granddaughters, leaving off his fifth granddaughter born to Roberts.
The report of Biden settling his child support dispute came hours after he reached a plea deal with federal prosecutors, pleading guilty to two tax crimes and admitting to the facts of a gun charge. Biden will plead guilty to misdemeanors for failing to pay about $100,000 in taxes for 2017 and for failing to pay a similar amount for 2018. He is not expected to face any jail time.
