A pro-Palestinian passenger berated Democratic New York City Mayor Eric Adams, slamming him over his support for Israel, as he flew home from Miami after speaking at the 2024 Concordia Americas Summit.
Adams was in Florida to speak about the migrant crisis and the impact on local communities when border states transported illegal immigrants to self-described “sanctuary cities” like New York City — but the topic quickly turned to Israel when he boarded a plane to head for home.

“F*** you! You support the genocide in Palestine! There are homeless people all over New York, yet you’re always partying!” the woman shouted, accusing Adams of paying New York City police officers instead of funding initiatives that would help the homeless.
“Why are you even in Miami? You know there are people being arrested there? People are homeless in New York. People cannot afford food. You keep cutting the education budget so that you can fund the police. That’s all you care about, funding the police. Everything is underfunded because of you.”
Adams recently issued a public statement on the anti-Semitic protests at Columbia University — which have gotten so heated that the University president switched the campus to remote and hybrid classes for the remainder of the semester — warning students that police “will not hesitate to arrest” protesters if they deem it necessary.
“I am horrified and disgusted with the antisemitism being spewed at and around the Columbia University campus — like the example of a young woman holding a sign with an arrow pointing to Jewish students stating ‘Al-Qasam’s Next Targets,’ or another where a woman is literally yelling ‘We are Hamas,’ or another where groups of students are chanting ‘We don’t want no Zionists here’ — and I condemn this hate speech in the strongest of terms,” Adams said.
