Melinda Gates, the former wife of technocrat and Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, has shelled out $1 billion to promote abortion and feminism.
A June 1 article by Forbes magazine expounded on this donation by the philanthropist, which included grants to be made by her Pivotal Philanthropies Foundation. The piece also named several entities set to receive this substantial amount.
As per the article, $200 million will go to U.S. organizations ostensibly protecting "women's rights" – with a noted emphasis on "women's reproductive freedom," a euphemism for infanticide. These groups include the Center for Reproductive Rights, MomsRising Education Fund and the National Women's Law Center.
Another $240 million will go to 12 global leaders, who are set to receive $20 million each. These leaders will then allocate the $20 million "to charitable organizations they consider to be doing urgent, impactful, and innovative work to improve women’s health and well-being in the U.S. and around the world." Some of the 12 global leaders include former New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, seven-time Olympic gold medalist and track and field athlete Allyson Felix and award-winning filmmaker Ava DuVernay.
Melinda also mentioned that $250 million from the $1 billion endowment will be awarded through an open call to grassroots organizations, which will be launched in the fall. According to Forbes, such grassroots organizations are often under-served by big donors.
"Economic power is social power is political power. In that regard, [Melinda] holds immense power – and with a laser focus on shaping the future of women's rights, the implications are profound," the magazine wrote.
"In [a] statement, [Melinda] made clear where she's set her sights, stating: "This is a critical moment for women and girls in the U.S. and around the world – and those fighting to protect and advance equality are in urgent need of support.' Indeed, women's rights are at a precarious juncture that will likely reverberate for decades to come."

Melinda's billion-dollar endowment follows the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) undergoing a massive reshuffle as a result of the couple's divorce, which arose from Bill's extramarital affairs and his friendship with the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. She recently announced her resignation from the BMGF, which will soon be known as the Gates Foundation, dropping the first names of its founders. "Bill and Melinda Gates have long been passionate advocates for the abortion industry, pouring tens of millions into initiatives designed to ensure less children make it into the world," Jonathon Von Maren wrote for LifeSiteNews. "Bill has donated exclusively to [the] International Planned Parenthood Federation, funded journalists to write pro-abortion stories [and] condemned pro-life policies."
Von Maren also recounted that the Microsoft co-founder celebrated how "global health" initiatives have led people to decide they "don't need to have as many children" during an interview with journalist and former White House Press Secretary Bill Moyers. When the journalist asked the technocrat where his passion comes from, Bill Gates replied that his father served as head of Planned Parenthood.
In a May 13 post on X, Melinda announced that her priority would focus on "women and girls in the U.S. and around the world" – which culminated in the $1 billion endowment.
"In short, a substantial fortune is about to be thrown into the abortion wars. The Gates Foundation endowment was over $75 billion as of last year," Von Maren pointed out. "Melinda and other abortion activists hope that the Gates fortune will tip the scales in favor of the abortion industry."
