Trump Turns His Focus To Grinding Harris Down By Highlighting Her Disastrous Record

 Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump delivered focused remarks Thursday afternoon targeting Democrat presidential nominee Kamala Harris’ record as vice president and how her actions have harmed the American people.

Trump noted that Harris cast the tie-breaking vote in the U.S. Senate on the American Rescue Plan during the early days of the Biden-Harris administration, which sparked the inflation crisis that has devastated families across the U.S. over the last 3 and a half years.

The former president highlighted government statistics that showed that the inflation crisis has cost American families $28,000 on average and continues to cost them roughly $1,100 per month in additional food, energy, insurance, and housing costs.

Mortgage prices have doubled over the course of the Biden-Harris administration thanks to a shortage in housing and skyrocketing interest rates that were increased to combat the inflation that the administration caused with their reckless government spending, Trump noted.

 

“Now Kamala is reportedly proposing communist price controls, she wants price controls,” Trump said. “And if they worked, I’d go along with it, too, but they don’t work. They exactly have the exact opposite impact and effect and it leads to food shortages, rationing, hunger, dramatically more inflation.”

He said her plan was akin to price controls that were found in the former Soviet Union or modern day Venezuela and that the economic plan was “an admission that her economic policies have totally failed and caused really a catastrophe for our country.”

Trump highlighted additional negative economic indicators for Harris, including real wages being down by an average of $2,000 for Americans per year, credit card debt exploding to new levels, and an approximately $33,000 decrease in net wealth for the average family.

Trump said that the majority of job creation that has happened in the U.S. over the last year or so has gone to illegal aliens in the U.S. after more than 10 million have illegally entered the country during the Biden-Harris administration due to their open border policies.

 

“You don’t have to imagine what a Kamala Harris presidency would be because you’re living through that nightmare right now, and it is a nightmare,” he said, adding that he believes the economy will crash if she is elected, which comes as the economy is currently headed toward a recession.

Trump also noted many of the positions Harris has publicly campaigned on, including forcing everyone onto government-run socialist health care, banning fracking and cracking down on fossil fuels, providing taxpayer-funded benefits for millions of illegal aliens, abolishing immigration authorities, and more.
