Muckraker.com’s Anthony Rubin recently caught an alleged government contractor with ties to the CIA, FBI, DHS, and NSA moving young children through an airport in Houston at 5 o’clock in the morning after allegedly telling Rubin she was “on vacation.” You can read Muckraker’s special report here.
In the video, Rubin confronted a woman in a mask escorting a young child through the airport, also wearing a facemask and a hood covering their head. He claims the woman had told him she was on vacation as he questions her scurrying through the airport.
The video then shows Rubin at a facility where children are being loaded into a van. He asks a worker, “Is this MVM?” to which she responds “no.” He then states that he has footage showing that “a lot of these children don’t know the sponsors that they are going to” and asks “what’s going on here?”
In the next scene, Rubin claims he is at the MVM Headquarters, a government contractor that has been paid at least $248 million to transport immigrant children from 2014 to 2018, where he films a van being loaded with children. As the van pulls away with the children on board, they appear to leave several bags right in the middle of the roadway.
The van made its way to the airport where, once again, a contractor was asked if they are aware that children are claiming they don’t know the sponsors that they are going to. Silence.
As the children are escorted by the contractors through TSA security without showing any identification, Rubin asks two US Border Patrol agents standing nearby why they didn’t have to show identification. The agents refuse to speak on camera, so Rubin shuts off the camera but engages a hidden camera while he questions the border agents.
“Are a lot of the kids coming over…are they trafficked…?”
“Some are. I’m not gonna lie. Some are,” the agent responds on candid camera. He then acknowledges that “a lot” of the kids come over here with “totally fake names” and nods in response to the claim that they are given a “brand new identity” and “could be anybody.”
The agent then asks if Rubin has seen Sound of Freedom, the Angel Studios film about former DHS agent Tim Ballard’s attempts to combat child sex trafficking. When he acknowledges he’s seen it, the agent confesses, “Exactly like that sh*t happens.” The agent then acknowledges that a lot of times the children come over with notes attached to an address that often times leads to sex traffickers.
“There’s a lot of sh*t that we can’t tell you,” the agent confesses before admitting that policies prevent them from talking on camera.
“Why don’t they want you talking on camera?” he asks.
“Politics.”
“Like making the administration look bad?”
“Yeah,” the agent says before telling Rubin, “Honestly bro, I really wish there was more people like you exposing this sh*t. Because it sucks. It truly is a horrible thing.”
Whether or not MVM was the contractor in the film is not confirmed outside of Rubin purportedly visiting the organization’s headquarters and following the van to the airport. However, it is not the first time the organization has made headlines.
In 2018, Reveal News published an article exposing the organization running at least two unlicensed facilities in Phoenix used to hold immigrant children. The facility has no private bathrooms so children were utilizing sinks to shower and bathe. The former defense contractor that previously provided guards for CIA facilities in Iraq reportedly has no licensing for childcare.
MVM has received $248 million to transport immigrant children since 2014, according to the article which was published in 2018.
“MVM, a Virginia-based defense contractor, has received contracts worth up to $248 million to transport immigrant children since 2014, records show. The company, which once provided guards for CIA facilities in Iraq, was founded by three former Secret Service agents. One of its vice presidents is a former CIA special agent and former acting director of the U.S. Marshals Service.
The company has no child care center licenses in Arizona, and the governor has ordered a review. Any determination about whether MVM was operating an unlicensed child care center under state law would be made by the state Department of Health Services.”
