Kelly Clarkson Reportedly Returning To Show After Being MIA For A Week

 Kelly Clarkson will reportedly return to taping her show on Thursday following her mysterious absence for more than a week, which led fans to express concern that something was wrong with the host’s health.

While there has been no public reason given for why “The Kelly Clarkson Show” host last helmed her talkshow on March 5, Deadline reported that Clarkson was out due to a “private matter” and would start taping again on March 13.

It all started when Kelly didn’t host her show on Monday, March 3. Her guest was actor Simu Liu, who let the audience know he was going to host. Liu had only found out minutes before the show was to start, People magazine reported.

“Kelly isn’t able to make it today. We’re sending her our very best,” Liu told the audience. “I did not know that I was doing this until about five minutes ago when I arrived to promote my new movie ‘Last Breath.’”

“I’m here now, and look, I’m not one to back down from a challenge,” he added.

Clarkson was back to host on Tuesday, March 4, and made no mention of her absence. She then hosted the show once more on Wednesday, March 5, with guests Jason Derulo and Nora Fatehi, who were promoting their musical collaboration “Snake,” the outlet noted.

Comedian Roy Wood Jr. stepped in for Clarkson on March 6.

“Kelly’s out for the day,” he said. “I’m back. You’re in good hands. I was here about a week ago, I think they brought me back because of my resemblance to Kelly. You need to squint to see it, though.”

Actress Wanda Sykes and singer Josh Groban co-hosted the show on March 7.

“It’s good to be here at Kelly’s show. She asked if I could co-host, and I said, ‘Absolutely, Kelly. There’s nothing I’d rather be doing on my birthday than daytime TV,'” Sykes said.

On March 10 and 11, Brooke Shields took over and told viewers that it was “so nice” to be filling in “again” for Clarkson.

Guest hosts are expected at least through Friday, March 14, according to People.

The news on Thursday comes after fans took to social media asking where their favorite host was after the various celebrities stepped in to helm the show.

“Where is Kelly, we are worried sick about her??” one person asked.

Another added, “Is Kelly okay?”

While a third person wrote, “Low key worried about Kelly Clarkson. Hope everything’s ok.”

“When will Kelly be back?” a fourth person asked.
